Red Cross chapter to host baseball game
0 Comments | Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Jun 8, 2008
OREM -- The Mountain Valley chapter of the American Red Cross will sponsor a baseball game Thursday at the Brent Brown Ballpark on the Utah Valley State College campus.
The event will feature former major leaguers Dane Iorge, Vernon Law and Vance Law and former BYU standout Kim Nelson. Proceeds from the game, including concessions from the game, will go toward funding local American Red Cross disaster response and other services.
The American Red Cross said donations of $1,000 or more will give donors the chance to play in the game. The organization is particularly encouraging business owners to join together to donate the $1,000 and play in the game. Additionally, businesses will have the opportunity to display advertising banners during the game, which the public is invited to attend.
