Cannon is out of touch

In "The March of Folly," historian Barbara Tuchman delineates disasters resulting from governmental policies in spite of known better alternatives. Chris Cannon is folly personified. Cannon vowed to uphold the Constitution, including the provision, "to protect the states from invasion." But thousands of aliens enter illegally daily.
The Heritage Foundation estimates the amnesties Cannon supported would cost taxpayers $2.4 trillion for illegal alien retirement benefits, plus more trillions since each low-wage illegal-alien family costs $3 in government services for each tax dollar paid.
Hispanic readers polled by Hispanic Magazine wanted less, not more, immigration. In 2004 Cannon's opponent won the Hispanic vote. Chris Cannon doesn't represent justice-loving citizens, taxpayers, workers, crime victims, Hispanics or Utahns.
