Socialism isn't compassion

Deseret News (Salt Lake City),  Jun 19, 2008

We seem to have too many folks, both candidates and laymen, who would propose more socialistic programs in the name of compassion and social welfare.

This wonderful and great nation didn't thrive and prosper on socialistic principles. It became great on the basis of free enterprise. The same principles, if followed, would resolve nearly all of our economic challenges now.

We can't allow environmentalist special interests to limit the use of all the natural resources that are available. And we need to cut taxes.
