-- Ronald W. Jibson has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Questar Gas. He succeeds Alan K. Allred, who will retire Sept. 1. Jibson joined Questar Gas (formerly Mountain Fuel Supply Co.) 27 years ago as a design engineer. He was named executive price president of Questar Gas and senior vice president of Questar Corp. earlier this year. During his career with Questar Gas, Jibson has held various management positions, including vice president of operations, general manager of operations and director of engineering. His education includes degrees from Utah State University and Westminster College.

-- Jonathan E. Johnson III has been appointed president of Overstock.com Inc. His duties will include supervision of executives responsible for legal affairs, finance, SEC compliance, investor relations, government relations, facilities, and administrative management, and eventually, human-capital management. Johnson joined the company in September 2002 and has been serving as the company's senior vice president of corporate affairs and legal. He was previously the company's general counsel. Before joining Overstock.com, Johnson was with another company in various positions, including general counsel, executive vice president and chief financial officer. Jonathan also practiced law in the Los Angeles offices of a New York-based law firm and a San Francisco- based law firm.

-- Nathan D. Alder has been elected president and Stephen W. Owens has been elected president-elect of the Utah State Bar for 2008-09. Also, Herm Olsen, Lori W. Nelson and Rodney Snow were re- elected as bar commissioners; E. Russell "Rusty" Vetter was elected as a bar commissioner, and James D. Gibson was appointed to fill an unexpired bar commissioner term. Alder is a shareholder in the Salt Lake City firm of Christensen & Jensen. Owens is a partner in the firm of Epperson Rencher & Owens, where his practice concentrates on defending medical malpractice actions. His education includes a degree from the University of Utah. Olsen's practice in Logan concentrates on personal injury, municipal law and criminal defense. Nelson, a shareholder in the Salt Lake City firm of Jones Waldo, practices in the area of family law. Snow is president of the Salt Lake City firm of Clyde Snow Sessions & Swenson. Vetter is a senior city attorney at the Salt lake City Attorney's Office. Gilson is a shareholder with Callister Nebeker &McCullough, practicing litigation.

-- Jeff Morton has been named marketing manager at Connor Sport Court International. Morton started with Connor Sport Court in 2003 as promotional and event coordinator. He managed the various athletic events in which Connor Sport Court is involved, including the NCAA Final Four, USA Volleyball events and National Basketball Association activities. Morton will manage all the company's marketing activities, including public relations, advertising and graphic design, interfacing with Connor Sport Court's outside marketing-consulting firm, Jim Ure Co. His experience includes work as a financial adviser. His education includes a degree from the University of Utah.

-- Dr. Jeffrey L. Anderson, associate chief of cardiology at Intermountain Medical Center and professor of internal medicine at the University of Utah, has been named president of the American Heart Association's Board for the Western States Affiliate serving California, Nevada and Utah. An active volunteer with the association for 32 years, Anderson has twice served as president of the association's Utah Division. In 2006-07, he served as secretary of the Affiliate Board and last year as the president-elect.

-- Craig Dawson has joined R&O Construction as a project engineer for the Valley Fair Mall renovation project in West Valley. Dawson has experience in estimating and project management and as a superintendent. He is also proficient in all phases of construction methodology and technology. His education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

-- Bruce Cunnington has been promoted at Big-D Construction Corp., and Braden Moore has joined the company. Cunnington has been promoted to senior project manager for the company's Fastrack group, a special division that supports the firm's small and medium-size projects. Cunnington has 36 years of construction experience, including 25 years with Big-D, beginning as a carpenter and working his way to project management. Moore has joined the business development, marketing and project development team. Moore first gained experience in the construction industry as a carpenter before joining Big-D as a field worker. He also obtained business- development and marketing experience with a company that does consulting for architects, engineers and subcontractors. Moore will graduate this fall from Weber State University.

-- Mario Pilozzi has been named chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Children's Miracle Network, and Ken Potrock and Dr. Ora Pescovitz have been elected to the board. Pilozzi recently retired as president and chief executive officer for Wal-Mart Canada Corp. He joined Wal-Mart in 1994 with more than 35 years of experience in the Canadian retail industry. Potrock is the senior vice president of sports enterprises for Wal Disney Parks & Resorts. Prior to joining the sports enterprises team, Potrock led Global Alliances Marketing, which encompasses the five Disney resorts around the world. Pescovitz is the president and CEO of Riley Hospital for Children, the Children's Miracle Network hospital in Indianapolis. She also serves as the executive associate dean for research affairs and a pediatrics professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine, as well as the university's interim vice president for research administration.
