-- Doug Parks has been promoted at Scottrade to manage its new South Ogden branch office. Parks is responsible for branch operations, managing personnel and providing customer service. Parks began his career with Scottrade as a stock broker at the Midvale branch office. He has more than eight years of experience in the financial-services industry.

-- Tiffany Galbraith has joined Zions Bank as an executive banking relationship manager in Salt Lake City. Galbraith has 10 years of banking experience. At another bank, she worked in several positions, including branch manager, assistant manager and personal banker.

-- Wesley Smith has joined the Salt Lake Chamber as director of public policy. Smith will coordinate public policy deliberations, represent the chamber on various committees, as well as advocate and communicate the public policy priorities of Utah's business community. Before joining the chamber, Smith worked as an independent consultant. He has also been a policy analyst with the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., and a partner in a local law firm. He also worked at the Office of Presidential Advance, the Office of the Vice President and the Office of Counsel to the President. His education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

-- Keith Sorensen has joined R&O Construction as senior manager/ design-build specialist. Sorensen brings to the company more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry.

-- Donald Fraser and Lee Boerckel have joined Windermere Real Estate/St. George LLC Inc. Both are sales associates in the Southland office. Fraser previously was employed with a realty company in Hurricane as a sales agent. Boerckel formerly was employed with a realty company as a sales agent and has construction, home-maintenance and general contracting experience.

-- Paul Martin has joined the Response Agency as its new creative director. He has 27 years of experience in marketing.

-- Jennifer Holladay and Shelisa Payne have joined the advertising account services department at Summit Group Communications. Holladay is the agency's newest advertising account services manager. She will manage overall existing account relationships of local, regional and national clients. She worked for six years as a marketing consultant at another company. Her education includes degrees from Utah State University. Payne is an advertising account services coordinator. She will coordinate development of clients and assist in advertising account service for a variety of national and regional clients. She previously worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Missionary Training Center. Her education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

-- Vic Conner has been appointed director of finance and Matt Stubbs has been promoted to senior public relations associate at Snapp Conner PR, and Josh Berndt has joined the firm as a public relations associate. Conner, a company co-founder, also has been an investment consultant and a financial adviser at a pair of securities companies and a financial coach for an academy in American Fork. Prior to joining Snapp Conner PR in July 2007, Stubbs worked in broadcast media as a television camera operator, a news producer and technical director; and in radio in New York City and Salt Lake, including executive producer of a local radio program. Berndt worked as a sports and news anchor, co-host on a morning radio show, a play-by-play announcer for minor league baseball and as a beat reporter covering women's basketball. He also has worked in the PR departments for three professional sports teams.

-- Diana Olofson has been named manager of Mountain America Credit Union's Kearns branch. Olofson has worked in the financial services industry for nearly nine years, most recently as the assistant manager at the Jordan Landing branch. She replaces Becky Okelberry, who transferred to the Taylorsville branch.

-- Kellen Fowler has joined Intermountain Financial Group, the Utah agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., as a financial-services adviser to help individuals, families, and small business owners with their life insurance and investment needs. Fowler's education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

-- Mark Allen Fletcher has been named vice president of worldwide sales for ClearOne. Fletcher has more than 20 years of experience in the audio-visual and communications industries. Mark has served in senior management roles in several companies.

-- Briant S. Platt has joined law firm Strong & Hanni as an associate. He will be a member of the medical malpractice group. His education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

-- Stephen Bemis has been appointed vice president of worldwide sales at Wavelink Corp. Bemis has been with the company since 2003, most recently as senior director of channel sales. He has nearly 30 years of experience in hardware and software sales and management with a focus on mobile environments.
