MEN'S TENNIS: Three Aggies -- Jakob Asplund, Mike Banks and Matt Searle -- reached the round of 16 in Thursday's opening day of the Utah Fall Tennis Classic at BYU.
Asplund made his way to Friday's action with a win over Stefan Simikic, 6-3, 6-4. Banks took a win over Brandon Nelson, 6-3, 6-2. Searle defeated Kevin Albaugh and Jorge L. Maldonado.
SOFTBALL: Utah State's softball team will kick off fall action with an Alumni Game at LaRee and LeGrand Johnson Softball Field at noon today. Admission is free, but due to the USU-Utah football game, parking at the softball field will be $5.
