MormonTimes.com: Christ's coronation mystery
0 Comments | Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Oct 2, 2008 | by Michael De Groote Mormon Times
When Christ appeared to the Nephites after his resurrection he acted as king. LeGrand Baker, a retired Brigham Young University professor of library science, sees the Savior's appearance as the literal fulfillment of the ancient Israelite coronation drama.
Baker spoke at BYU last Friday at "A Conference on Third Nephi: New Perspectives on an Incomparable Scripture." He reviewed the coronation drama that he said was played out annually during the Feast of the Tabernacles in ancient Jerusalem.
