CHICAGO (AP) -- Authorities say three people were injured after a small regional jet struck a maintenance truck on a runway at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

No passengers were aboard the United Express jet, operated by SkyWest Airlines. It was traveling from a hangar to a gate when it collided with the truck early Saturday.

Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva says the driver of the truck was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Two mechanics from the plane were hospitalized in good condition.

SkyWest spokeswoman Nicole Drew says it wasn't clear from surveillance footage who was responsible for the accident. Department of Aviation spokeswoman Karen Pride says a runway was closed for less than two hours. Flight operations weren't affected.
