ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The Round Rock Express jumped ahead early with four runs in the first inning and two more runs in the second en route to an 8-1 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday.

With one out in the first inning, six straight Express hitters reached against Salt Lake starter Brad Knox. J.R. Towles and Chris Johnson each had run-scoring singles and Reggie Abercrombie walked with the bases loaded to make it 3-0. A fielder's choice by Yordany Ramirez brought home the fourth run of the inning.

Knox (3-2) took the loss, as he allowed six runs on 10 hits in six innings. Offensively, the Bees could not get anything going against Round Rock starter Yorman Bazardo, who did not surrender a run and only gave up three hits in eight innings with six strikeouts and one walk.

Sean Rodriguez had an RBI single in the ninth for the Bees, who have now dropped six of their last eight games.
