Beatrice Cora Starbuck Barker
1918 ~ 2009
Our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Beatrice "Bea" Barker, returned to her Heavenly Father on June 14, 2009.Bea was born Dec. 10, 1918 in Telluride, CO to adoring parents, Ralph Starbuck and Gladys Collins Yoxall.
Bea married, the love of her life, Verl George Barker in Salt Lake City on Mar. 8, 1947. She was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Feb. 15, 1958 and devotedly served in various capacities. Verl and Bea were sealed in the Jordan River Temple on Oct. 26, 1991.

Bea enjoyed serving others throughout her life by sharing her many talents and hobbies. She was a marvelous cook and especially enjoyed cake decorating. Many were recipients of her beautiful handiwork items. Bea and Verl spent many
enjoyable hours square dancing and working in their ceramic shop
together.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband who died Oct. 11, 2007, one son, Mark Adrian Elston, her parents, grandson, Jeremy, and brother, Dale. She is survived by four sons: Verl George Jr. (Kathleen), Corin Lynn (Nadine), Ralph Wilbur (Barbara), and James Alan (Gena), one bother, Al, 16 grandchildren, 45 great- grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thurs., June 18th, 11:00 a.m., at the Granger 10th Ward, 3276 S Hillsdale Drive (2900 W). Friends may call Wed., from 6-8 p.m., Redwood Memorial, 6500 S Redwood Rd and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
