America's Got Talent (8 p.m., Ch. 5): The season premiere of this talent show.
The Superstars (7 p.m., Ch. 4): From what we've seen of this reality/competition show, which isn't much, it's an update of the old "Battle of the Network Stars." Except that a lot of these people are barely celebrities, let alone stars or superstars. Eight two- person teams -- one celebrity and one athlete -- compete at various weird sporting events. The athletes are Jennifer Capriati, Brandi Chastain, Robert Horry, Jeff Kent, Kristi Leskinen, Lisa Leslie, Bode Miller and Terrell Owens. The celebrities are David Charvet, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Dan Cortese, Paige Hemmis, Julio Iglesias Jr., Joanna Krupa, Ali Landry and Estella Warren. What percentage of those names do you recognize?

Mental (8 p.m., Ch. 4): A movie star has a breakdown -- or is it a publicity stunt?
Saving Grace (8 and 10 p.m., TNT): A court reporter is murdered.
Better Off Ted (8:30 p.m., Ch. 4): It's a new episode of this very funny show, which ABC renewed for next season. (Hurrah!) Tonight, Lem and Phil invite Ted to their Medieval Fight Club.
Rescue Me (11 p.m., FX): Garrity looks worse than anybody expected.
NYC Prep (11 p.m., Bravo): It must be fun to be a development executive at Bravo. "Gee, 'Desperate Housewives' is a popular show. Maybe we could do a reality-show version!" And we get "Housewives of Orange County" and "New York" and "Atlanta" and "New Jersey." Apparently somebody was watching "Gossip Girl" and thought, "Hey, we could do a reality version of that show!" And we get "NYC Prep" -- a reality show about rich, spoiled, obnoxious kids. That's entertainment?
