Lake Success-based TruFoods Corp. appoints new vice pres. of

TruFoods Corp. of Lake Success the parent company of Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips, Pudgie's Famous Chicken and the Wall Street Deli, promoted Leonard Spier to vice president of procurement.
Spier, of Port Jefferson Station, joined the company in 1999 when it was known as Pudgie's Famous Chicken, serving as director of purchasing for the company's national quick service restaurant chains.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the overall purchasing of food, paper and equipment for the restaurant franchises, and will continue to work with TruFoods' major suppliers and distributors to negotiate all contracts.
Spier has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, specifically in the food and paper areas of the business.
Prior to joining the company, he served as a broker in the food service industry.
