Islip-based Netsmart Technologies Inc. lands $4.1M contract

Netsmart Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: NTST), a software supplier for health and human service providers through its Creative Socio-Medics subsidiary, was awarded a $4.1 million contract from Hennepin County Minnesota's Children, Family, and Adult Services Department.

James L. Conway, Netsmart's CEO, said the contract, which will be performed over a period of 18 months, would represent a significant source of revenue for Netsmart. He noted that for the nine months ended Sept. 30, Netsmart reported net income of $447,000, or 12 cents per share, on revenue of $16.3 million.
