Little Flower Children's Services of New York appointed the Hon. Herbert W. Stupp as executive vice president.

Stupp is the former commissioner of the New York City department of the aging.

Little Flower, in Wading River and Brooklyn, provides care for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Constance E. Lieber, president of the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression in Great Neck, received the "Distinguished Service Award" from the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology.

The award recognizes exceptional lifetime service to the field of neuropsychopharmacology - the study of the relationship of brain biochemistry to mental disorders - and to the college.

It was the first time the ACNP presented Distinguished Service Awards.

Gary Melius, president of Oheka Management, joined the board of trustees of The Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington.

Melius is also a member of the board of directors for the Long Island Philharmonic and supports many organizations, including the Interfaith Nutrition Network, Nassau County District Attorney's Rising Star Community Crime Prevention Program and oversees the Elena Melius Foundation.

Melius is most recognized for his work in the restoration and adaptive reuse of the 109,000-squarea-foot landmark Otto Hermann Kahn Mansion, (Oheka) in Huntington. Completed in 1919, Oheka is the largest residence built in New York and the second largest in America.
