Griffon Corp. lands $38M Boeing contract

Griffon Corp. (NYSE: GFF) said Monday its Telephonics Corp. subsidiary received three-year contracts from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems totaling about $38 million.

The electronic information and communication systems subsidiary received orders for 45 sets of its Communications Open System Architecture Integrated Radio Management System for the U.S. Air Force's C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft.

The avionics system provides C-17 aircrews with integrated displays and controls to manage communications and navigation information.

Griffon will work on the project at Telephonics' facilities in Farmingdale and Huntington on Long Island with engineering support from its Gardena, Calif., facility.
