Patchogue Rotary Club plans holiday giving with summer in mind
Long Island Business News, Dec 17, 2004 by Henry Powderly
It's that time of year when our thoughts are full of snow, skis, sleds and hard-to-find sugarplums. But the Patchogue Rotary Club has kept in mind the summer joys of boating, fishing, camping and summer camp by tying in such unseasonable musings with the holiday spirit of charitable giving.
The club has donated $50,000 to Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, in order to sponsor special-needs children who otherwise couldn't afford the cost of summer camp.
Garrett Nagle, the camp's executive director, said, $50,000 is an important way to help those children who would not be able to attend if not for donations like this.
