NY Times invests in job search engine

With media companies reeling from the impact of Internet job sites like monster.com and hotjobs.com, The New York Times Co. has gone on the offensive, taking a minority interest in Indeed Inc., creator of a job search engine.
Indeed got $5 million from The Times and investment firms Union Square Ventures and Allen & Co.
