Long Island Business News, Aug 26, 2005 by Dawn Wotapka Hardesty

After nearly three decades, Carco Group Inc. is leaving St. James.

The provider of homeland security services to Fortune 1,000 companies inked a deal for 24,000 square feet at 5,000 Corporate Drive in Holtsville, replacing its current space in the Flowerfield Industrial Park.

The private company will fill space once reserved for the Internal Revenue Service, which vacated 135,000 square feet of the 248,000-square-foot building. The IRS remains in 60,000 square feet.

Paragon Group LLC Principal Jeffrey Nemshin and Gerald Widen worked for Carco, which employs about 120. The Atlanta-based building owner, Wells Real Estate Investment Trust, was represented by Joseph Kondracke of CB Richard Ellis.
