Garden City law firm of Rosenberg & Fortuna names Ross H. Schmierer

The Garden City law firm of Rosenberg & Fortuna named Ross H. Schmierer an associate in its commercial and real estate litigation groups.
Schmierer focuses on commercial and real estate litigation, including construction litigation. Prior to joining Rosenberg & Fortuna he spent nearly three years as a litigation associate at New York City law firm of Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy, & Bach. There he handled commercial litigation, general liability and medical malpractice cases.
Schmierer earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2002, where he was an editor of the Brooklyn Law Review.
While attending law school, he worked as a summer associate in another New York firm. He also completed a summer internship with Professor Joseph Rand of Brooklyn Law School, during which time he investigated the consequences of inadvertent disclosure of e-mail.
After earning his law degree he worked as a research assistant at a New Jersey law firm where he focused on matrimonial law.
Schmierer is a member of the New York State Bar Association, young lawyers section, and the organization's commercial and federal litigation sections.
Schmierer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin.
