Griffon Corp. subsidiary awarded five-year contract by the U.S. Army

Griffon Corp. said Monday that its Telephonics subsidiary has been awarded a five-year contract by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command.
The contract, which has a potential value of $60 million, is for Telephonics' TruLink wireless intercommunication system.
TruLink is a wireless, hands-free communications system used in high noise military environments.
The company said work on the program will be done at Telephonics facilities in Farmingdale.
Griffon (NYSE: GFF) shares opened Monday at $23.98.
