Long Island insurance firms announce staffing changes: September 21,

DCAP Group Inc. of Hewlett has appointed Curt M. Hapward president. Formerly, Hapward was a vice president at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in Parsippany, N.J.
East Meadow-resident Lane S. Rubin has been appointed secretary- treasurer of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York. Presently a managing member of Excel Coverage Group in Westbury, Rubin will oversee the group's funds and report to an executive committee on all fund movement and activities.
