Marks Paneth & Shron has appointed two new executives to its Woodbury and Mahattan offices. Oceanside resident Susan H. Nadler has joined Marks Paneth & Shron's Manhattan office as an audit partner within the firm's real estate group. Steven Golberg has joined as a partner in the tax advisory practice in the firm's Woodbury office. He was previously a senior manager at Marcum & Kliegman. He specializes in tax and financial planning.
Health Care
New Island Hospital has named Lawrence A. Reduto as chief medical officer. Reduto joins New Island after several years as executive vice president of medical affairs and director of the department of medicine and cardiology at St. Francis Hospital's Heart Center in Roslyn.
Pharmaceutical company PL Developments has hired Evan Singer as director of supply-chain management. Singer will expand the company's supply-chain systems and develop solutions to resolve their time-sensitive nature. He will also implement inventory- management models and aid in production planning.
Law
Uniondale firm Rivkin Radler has named Laura A. Shockley partner. Shockley is a member of the firm's Litigation & Appeals and Employment & Labor practice groups, handling civil commercial and employment litigation.
L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini has welcomed three new associates to its Garden City office. Diane P. Whitfield joins the firm's accounting and legal malpractice defense groups. Claudia P. Lovas joins LBC&C's employment law group, and Sara Wells joins its architects and engineers defense group.

Joseph Garofalo has been named director of workplace outreach at Northport Baptist Church in East Northport. The outreach provides both on and off-site leadership programs and resources to businesspeople. Garofalo was previously publisher of the travel and tourism group at Island Publications in Melville, a division of Newsday.
The Huntington Arts Council has appointed William F. Bonesso to its board of directors. Bonesso is a partner in the law firm Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, and has served in the Huntington Town attorney's office. He has acted as counsel to both the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Board.
Real Estate
Andrew W. Albro has been elected president of the Long Island chapter of the Appraisal Institute for 2008. Albro is executive vice president of Standard Valuation Services in Mineola and has been an appraiser since 1986. He has been a member of the chapter's executive board since 1995 and has served as seminar committee chair and treasurer.
The Long Island Board of Realtors has named Dan Ryan Sr. as Realtor Broker of the Year. Ryan joined LIBOR in 1991 and is currently vice president of sales and manager of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Massapequa Park and Rockville Centre. He is also involved with the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island, serving on the board of directors since 2001.
Retail
Quest Service Group, a Garden City-based retail services firm, appointed Michael Shey director of sales. In this position, he is responsible for growing Quest's retail merchandising, event marketing, installation and construction business nationwide. Shey was previously regional vice president at the firm's sister company, HGA-Quest, where he oversaw the merchandising of departments in Home Depot stores in the New York metro area.

Manhasset marketing agency Marden-Kane has added three new members to its staff. Lauren Makofske has been hired as a promotion coordinator. Erin O'Neill has joined as assistant promotion coordinator. Ina Serri will be a member of the firm's accounting staff.
Technology
LISTnet has added four new members to its board of directors: Yogesh Gupta, president and chief executive of FatWire Corp.; Paul Marsala, president of Peer Software; Linda Chan, IT director of network infrastructure of Veeco Instruments and John Pellman, chief executive of MedNet Technologies.
