JPMorgan Chase and Washington Mutual start sharing ATMs

JPMorgan Chase and Washington Mutual customers can now use either ATM network without being charged.
JPMorgan Chase said Wednesday customers can make withdrawals or balance inquiries for free.
Those customers will eventually be able to make deposits at the combined network of ATMs and have access to a network of more than 5,400 branches as computer systems are converted.
Chase and Washington Mutual have ATMs in 27 states, including 2,664 in New York.
