New Goodwill retail center opens

In response to population growth on the city's south side, Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs opened a 17,000-square-foot Fountain Retail Center at 6725 Camden Blvd. The non-profit agency operates eight retail stores throughout the Pikes Peak region, employing more than 150 people.

Melissa Lyby, Goodwill spokesman said the construction was financed through Bank One and was built by Hammers Construction. In December 2003, Goodwill opened its Powers Boulevard store and in 1998 it opened the north center across from Chapel Hills.
