DAN RUNDGREN has been named to the President's Club by first Union Small Business Capital. Rundgren, a business development officer, was one of only nine people to receive the honor in 1999.

Business development officers must close at least $16 million in small business loans during the year to qualify for the honor. Rundgren closed 24 small business loans in 1999 for nearly $16.5 million.

SUSANN MIKKELSON, development director for Care and Share, has received a $1,000 scholarship from the National Society of Fund Raising Executives to attend its international conference next month in New Orleans.

The conference attracts 4,000 fund-raising professionals for educational workshops, to explore technology and exchange ideas on management, volunteerism and fund-raising for nonprofits.

IMAGE STUDIOS has received seven Pride Awards by the Printing and Imaging Association Mountain States. The company received a special judges award and the best of category award for design work on a marketing booklet series produced for the Help Desk Institute. Image also received three other best of category awards for a millennium calendar for Colorado Springs Utilities, the book "Gifts from God" produced for Chariot Victor books and Help Desk Institute's "SupportWorld" magazine.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT INTERNATIONAL has received $25,000 from American Express Co. The group operates in 106 nations and teaches an estimated 1.5 million students about business and economics.

LINDA McADOO, staff member at Rampart High School, has been recognized by North Colorado Springs Rotary Club as part of the club's teacher of the month program. McAdoo assists the school's counseling department with testing, schedule changes and building tours.

LOREN BURLAGE, senior vice president and investment officer of First Union Securities, has qualified for the company's Chairman's Circle of Excellence Award. Burlage has more than 22 years of experience in the financial services industry.
