Bradley advances in junior figure skating

OBERSTDORF, Germany - Ryan Bradley of Colorado Springs finished third in his group on Monday during the men's qualifying at the World Junior Figure skating championships.

Defending champion Ilya Klimkin of Russia used a quadruple jump to take the lead, winning his group ahead of Matt Savoie of Peoria, Ill., and Bradley. Song Gao and Ma Xiadong of China were next.

The other group was won by Stefan Lindemann of Germany, followed by Soshi Tanaka of Japan and Vincent Restencourt of France.

The men continue with the short program today.
