"Bunny's Noisy Book"

By Margaret Wise Brown, illustrated by Lisa McCue. N.Y., Hyperion Books for Children, 2000. Ages 2-5

Little Bunny wakes up one summer morning, but he doesn't need to open his eyes to know that the world is already busy. His ears reveal the sounds of life in Little Bunny's meadow home throughout the day, and Little Bunny makes his own noise as he ventures outside of his hole to explore the world.

Margaret Wise Brown left behind the manuscripts of "Bunny's Noisy Book" at the time of her death in 1952. It has been published now for the first time, and is beautifully illustrated by Lisa McCue in warm, sunny colors.

As in her classic books "Goodnight Moon" and "The Runaway Bunny," Brown has created a storybook filled with warmth and love, with just enough adventure for preschoolers to enjoy. Children will gain listening skills and learn about nature as well as feel the security of home and family when they read "Bunny's Noisy Book."
