50 years ago: An early snowstorm caught a crowd of tourists on the summit of Pikes Peak yesterday afternoon. Many of the occupants of about 30 cars huddled around the stove in the summit house while the Pikes Peak patrol plowed through drifts. Snow fell to a depth of about four inches.

75 years ago: Purchase for $14,000 of property east of Nevada avenue from the Pikes Peak Cottage City camp grounds was made a matter of record yesterday. The tract is to be improved and used as an annex for the present camp next season.

100 years ago: There will be many fond welcomes in Colorado Springs this morning. The High School Travel club, which has spent two months touring Europe, will return to the city. The members report a most enjoyable trip and all the party is in good health.
