Space enthusiasts can learn all about America's first 99 shuttle missions and get information about the 100th through a Web site launched Wednesday by Colorado Springs-based Space Foundation and the United Space Alliance.

The site, www.spacefoundation.org/flight100, highlights Discovery STS-92, the shuttle that will lead NASA's 100th mission into space. Discovery will lift off Oct. 5 from Kennedy Space Center to perform work on the International Space Station.

The Web site also includes news, commentary, history on America's space shuttles, the latest on space technologies and links to industry and educational sites.

The Space Foundation is a national non-profit organization that attempts to increase awareness and education about space. The foundation hosts the annual International Space Symposium in Washington, D.C., and National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs.

United Space Alliance, based in Houston, was founded by Boeing Corp. and Lockheed Martin Corp. The organization operates and maintains space systems.
