Rampart might have a 24-0 record, but that wasn't good enough to earn the state's top seed in Class 5A going into the regionals this weekend.
Fort Collins, also 24-0, received the No.1 state seed with Rampart second, followed by Smoky Hill (23-1) and Heritage (22-2).
Those four will host 5A regionals Saturday, with pool play determining two qualifiers from each region for the state tournament Nov.10-11 at the Denver Coliseum.
Rampart's regional will start at 10a.m. and continue through the afternoon, with the Rams facing Greeley Central (13-10) at 11:15 a.m., Boulder (19-5) at 1:45 p.m. and Northglenn (18-6) at 4:15 p.m.
