Man dies from injuries in motorcycle wreck
A Colorado Springs man died Monday from injuries he suffered when his motorcycle rear-ended a minivan that cut in front of him while making a turn Sunday, authorities said.
Renner Gomez was taken to Penrose Hospital in critical condition with head injuries Sunday after a crash near Union and Briargate boulevards. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.
According to police, the driver of a Ford Windstar, Jimmy Taylor of Colorado Springs, attempted to make a left turn onto Union Boulevard, cutting in front of Gomez. Police said Gomez tried to stop but crashed into the back of the vehicle.

Two arrested for car wash, laundry burglaries
Two men were arrested Monday in connection with a series of car wash and laundry room burglaries in the city that began late last year.
Police arrested Justin Grim, 21, and Justin Hammer, 20, both of Colorado Springs, for trying to break into a coin machine at a car wash Monday in the 4300 block of Airport Road.
Police think that one or both suspects are responsible for similar burglaries in northern Colorado Springs that began in November and took place at car washes, laundry rooms and vending machines.
Boxes of quarters were recovered, but police did not have a dollar estimate.
Police say they have arrested the two men at least four times on suspicion of burglary, but the men posted bail each time.
