1 Comment | Gazette, The (Colorado Springs), Jan 31, 2002

The following roadwork will be in effect until further notice:

Traffic on Pikes Peak Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Colorado Avenue to Prospect Street for utility work and paving operations. Access to businesses will remain open. Beginning Monday, traffic will be detoured to one lane in each direction on the north side of the roadway.

The sidewalk will be closed on the north side of Pikes Peak Avenue from Colorado Avenue to Prospect Street. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side of Pikes Peak Avenue.

Kiowa Street will remain closed to through traffic between El Paso Avenue and Corona Street for approximately three months.

Motorists are advised to reduce their speed in the construction and detour areas. Project construction traffic will be using Pikes Peak Avenue as a staging area; expect some construction traffic delays.

The following roadwork is weather permitting:

Southbound I-25 will be reduced to one lane in each direction in the vicinity of the Woodmen Road interchange from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, for inlet repairs.

Woodmen Road between Campus Drive and Vincent Drive will be reduced to one lane intermittently from 9 p.m. today to 2 a.m. Friday, for pothole repairs.

    RE: ROADWORK

I was just wondering how to get work on a roadside crew, i've been to all kinds of sites including the state of Colorado's DOT and I wasn't able to find anything. I live right off woodmen and 24, my email is stonekyle84@yahoo.com and my cell is 734-770-7693.
