DIANNE LEE ROBBINS
Dianne Lee Robbins (Starnes), born May 20, 1963 at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, went home to be with our Lord on April 25, 2002 in Colorado Springs, CO.
She is survived by her husband, Kirt D. Robbins (Chief Master Sergeant, United States Air Force); from Ohio: her mother, Mary Meek Starnes; her brother, Eddy L. Starnes II and his wife, Brenda; from Illinois: her father-in-law, Donald L. Robbins; her sister-in-law, Karen Humphrey and her husband, Don; her brother-in-law, Kyle Robbins and his wife, Kyla; her nieces, Tempra and Amanda Starnes, Aimee Humphrey and Hannah Robbins, her nephews, Eddy Starnes III, Matthew Humphrey, and Brandon Robbins.
She was preceded in death by her father (Ed Starnes), Paternal grandparents (Hoyt and Rachel Starnes), Maternal grandparents Donald Meek and Mary Maxwell) and her mother-in-law (Helen Robbins).
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at 3:00 p.m., at the Peterson Air Force Base Chapel. Dianne's final resting place will be on 16 acres of God's creation, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, after scientific research is completed. This was Dianne's gift of love to the world and it was her fervent wish that one day cures will be found for these terrible diseases!
LUCILE MARIE LOPER
Lucile Marie Loper passed away on April 28, 2002 in Colorado Springs.
She was born April 9, 1935 on the family farm in McDonald, Kansas to Arthur and Helene Antholz. She is survived by her husband Charles Loper of Colorado Springs, her mother of Greeley, Colorado, and a sister, Lila Nietfeld of Eaton, Colorado. She is also survived by her three children, Bart Loper and his wife Cyndi of Littleton, Colorado; Linda Loflin and her husband Ritchie of Colorado Springs and the lights of her life, her grandsons, Lyndon Lee and Riley Lucas; and Bert Loper and his wife Patti of Colorado Springs.
Lucile was married to Charles Loper in April 1958, and has resided in the Colorado Springs area since 1957. She retired as an educator from the Widefield School District in 1996. She was an avid runner and was also an active member of the community through various volunteer activities, including Marion House Soup Kitchen and classroom assistance at an elementary school. Church was a very important part of Lucile's life. She was involved in Bible study, played the organ at local nursing homes, and was an assistant with summer Bible School.
Visitation will be at the Shine of Remembrance on Tuesday, April 30, 2002, between 4:00-7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade, Colorado Springs, with a reception following. Private interment is at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
ELSIE MAE GRAHAM
Elsie Mae Graham, 88, passed away peacefully, April 26, 2002. Born October 23, 1913 in Goehner, Nebraska to Chandler Jefferson Stephens and May Hitch. Mrs. Graham enjoyed a close family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Graham has one surviving brother, Lyle Stephens, of Alliance, Nebraska.
Mrs. Graham graduated in 1932 from Hemingford High School. She was also a Dale Carnegie graduate.
Mrs. Graham was married to Eugene S. Graham on January 10, 1933 at St. Bridgett Catholic Church in Hemmingford, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Graham moved from the ranch in Nebraska to a ranch in Gunnison, Colorado in 1947.
The couple also ranched in Great Falls, Montana for ten years. In 1978, Mr. and Mrs. Graham retired to Colorado Springs.
Mrs. Graham's hobbies included sewing, cooking, painting, flower arranging, and fishing. Always known as a "doer," Mrs. Graham was a member of the Gunnison Women's Club, Gunnison Women's Chorus, Cowbelles, Elks Ladies, St. Peter's Church Alter and Rosary Guild, Austin Bluffs Garden Club, Holy Apostle Church, and the Golden Agers.
Anything she chose to do, she did well. She will be best remembered for the love, inspiration, and encouragement she gave her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Jean Nicks and her son, Samuel D. Graham. She has thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church on Thursday, May 2nd at 11:00 AM. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 1, at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Rd. Memorial contributions may be sent to Holy Apostles church outreach programs, 4925 North Carefree Circle, 80917.
GLENN GEORGE BLAGG
Glenn George Blagg, age 79, died Sunday April 28, 2002, of Alzheimer's at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Florence, CO. Glenn was born in Calumet, OK., on April 12, 1923, to Mr. & Mrs. Harrison Blagg.
