Wanted Springs man arrested after beating
A Colorado Springs man wanted on suspicion of ethnic intimidation, assault and burglary was arrested Sunday after he was allegedly beaten by several other men, police said.
Colorado Springs police officers said they recognized Eric John Erickson, 37, when they investigated a fight in the 400 block of East Willamette Avenue. Erickson was beaten badly by several men, police said.
Erickson's identity was confirmed through his tatoos and fingerprints. He was taken to Memorial Hospital and treated for several injuries including a back injury, police said.

A woman died Monday after a two-car crash near Grinnell and Powers boulevards, a Colorado State Patrol dispatcher said.
The woman's identity was not known. The dispatcher said the crash happened at 5:16 p.m. and the woman was taken to Memorial Hospital, where she died. It was not known whether anyone else was injured, the dispatcher said.
Meeting set on ways to help horses flee fires
