They've got rhythm/ From drum corps to taiko, Denver's got the beat
0 Comments | Gazette, The (Colorado Springs), Aug 2, 2002
You can march to the beat of a different drummer (a lot of them actually) with two events coming to Denver this week.
Eight drum and bugle corps will take over Invesco Field at Mile High for Drums Along the Rockies Saturday. Playing host to the festivities are Colorado's own Blue Knights from Denver, whose snare line is pictured above left. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster and can be bought at the stadium after 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Japanese drum group Kodo brings their One World Tour to Red Rocks on Tuesday. The group spends one-third of the year touring Japan, one-third living communally on Japan's Sado Island and the rest of the time touring the world. The group performs on the Japanese drum or taiko. With the natural beauty of Red Rocks as the backdrop, the evening is sure to be magical. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.Drums Along the Rockies
