H. GLEN LOVEJOY

1912 - 2003

Mr. Lovejoy passed away February 9, in Colorado Springs. He was born December 12, 1912 in Lamar, CO., to Fred W. and Nancy (Evans) Lovejoy.

He was a rancher in the Lake George area for many years. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for the past 17 years.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta (Douglas) Lovejoy; children, Nancy (Wayne) Morris, Charles (Charlotte) Lovejoy and Linda Lovejoy; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and a half sister, Elsie Hulse of Canon City.

Visitation will be Friday, February 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at The Blunt Mortuary, 2229 West Colorado Ave. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 15, at The Blunt Mortuary Chapel, 2229 West Colorado Avenue. Cremation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, c/o The Paramedics, 375 Printers Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO., 80910.

We would like to say Thank You for all your support and prayers at our time of sadness. Thanks to the many friends who sent flowers, cards and food, for it brought happiness and brightness into our lives.

Special thanks to all the nurses and sitters at Memorial Hospital and Odyssey Hospice for all their kindness and caring of our father and husband. You made his days brighter.

ADOLPH ESTRADA

Born in Swink, CO., Adolph Estrada moved to Colorado Springs in 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. He married Florence Muniz on March 20, 1954, who survives him in their marriage of 48 years.

Their six children, who survive him, include Adolph Estrada, Jr.; Ronald Estrada; Paul Estrada; Marcella Gelsinger; Belinda Gruitch; Joanna Estrada; and Daniel Sanchez; as well as 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. His surviving siblings are Ciprano Estrada; Mark Estrada; and Maria Eubanks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Romana Estrada, and his siblings, Josie Omero, Stella Ross, Joe Estrada, Marion Estrada and Patrick Estrada.

Adolph was a successful Master Plumber in his own business, "Adolph's Plumbing and Heating," until retirement in 1999.

He was active in the community with PTA, Cub Scouts, Bobby Sox, and as women's fastpitch softball coach. He promoted sports, and was involved throughout his life with his family and children.

He was a loving and devoted father, husband and friend to all he knew. His desire for quality and pride of a job well done was reflected in his daily work of plumbing, and in his supportive relationships with friends and family.

He passed gently from this life, surrounded by his loving family, and in quiet peace.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He asks that any donations be made in monies to Pikes Peak Hospice on his behalf.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, February 14, 2003 at 7:00 p.m., at Swan Law Funeral Home on North Cascade.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, on North Cascade, Colorado Springs.

ELOISE ELIZABETH WHITTLESEY

Eloise Elizabeth Whittlesey, 89, died peacefully in Colorado Springs on February 11, 2003 after suffering a stroke. She was born in Phillipsburg, KS., on November 12, 1913 to James Henry Manz and Elizabeth Caroline Gremmel. She was married to Orrin R. Whittlesey, Jr. in Denver on April 3, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister Edith Groom.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Reiter, son-in-law Jerry Reiter and two grandsons, Kyle and Kevin Reiter.

Eloise worked as a clerk typist with civil service at Peterson AFB, ENT AFB, and the Childlaw Building for 27 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1959. She was very active in her retirement years with traveling and volunteer work. She was a member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary contributing over 10,000 hours of volunteer service. She served in many areas of her church and was active in several senior organizations.

Visitations will be 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2003, Swan Law Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be 9:15 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2003 at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2003 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2220 N. Corona.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2215 N. Wahsatch, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

TAMARA ANNE "TAMMY" TENO-MAKOWSKI

Tamara Anne "Tammy" Teno-Makowski, age 36, passed away February 9, 2003 in Colorado Springs. She was born on August 15, 1966 in Wayne, MI., to Michael and Darlene (Gary) Teno.

She graduated from South Lyon High School in 1984. Tammy enlisted in the Air Force in April, 1984. She was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force for 18 years. While in the Air Force, she was stationed in San Antonio, TX., Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Michigan, Wright Patterson in Dayton, Ohio, Seoul, Korea, and finally in 2001 at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
