Hundreds of Fort Carson soldiers have been boarding planes for Kuwait this week, part of the 11,000 local troops being sent overseas for the war in Iraq.
About 200 soldiers left Tuesday, Fort Carson officials said. About 1,200 Fort Carson soldiers have left for the conflict, and the rest are expected to leave in the coming weeks.
The 200 soldiers who left Monday were from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 571st Medical Company (Air Ambulance) and 10th Combat Support Hospital.
