SHANNON LYNN EADER

A Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock, for Shannon Lynn Eader of Castle Rock, who died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 in a traffic accident near Alamosa, CO. State Patrol investigators reported Miss Eader, 30, and her classmate, identified as Sharon Nolan, 48, of Colorado Springs, and the driver and passenger of other vehicle, were killed in a head-on collision on Westbound Colorado 160 just west of the Alamosa-Costilla County line.

A second memorial service will be on Saturday, in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. Interment will be in Locust Valley, NY.

Miss Eader, who earned her master's degree in counseling earlier this year from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, was born July 31, 1972, in Ft. Myers, FL, the daughter of Michael E. and Jeanne Mary (Corbin) Eader. She graduated from Lake Braddock High School in 1990 and earned her bachelor's degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL.

She loved the Colorado lifestyle and was an avid skier, camper, hiker and traveler. While living in Castle Rock, Miss Eader was employed by La Petite Academy.

Survivors include her parents, now living in Tallahassee, FL; a brother Michael Edward Eader, Jr., and his wife Christin, of Virginia Beach, VA; two nieces, Megan and Mackenzie Eader; her maternal grandmother, Charlotte Corbin of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and her paternal grandmother A. Jeanette Cecil of Haines City, FL.

KATHY J. TALBOTT

July 25, 1950 ~ July 25, 2003

After a courageous battle with cancer, Kathy J. Talbott passed away at home on July 25, 2003 - her 53rd birthday. A 39-year resident of Colorado, Kathy was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Kathy was noted for her quick wit and laughter, intuitiveness, diplomacy, enormous sensitivity and her inner strength. She enjoyed quiet settings, the company of loved ones, ice skating, cruising the Caribbean and spending time in Santa Fe. She was often sought out for her compassion, understanding and healing spirit, and was a source of inspiration and illumination to many.

A 20-year veteran of the local media industry, Kathy's career ranged from account executive to sales manager to station manager at some of the top radio and television stations in Colorado Springs, including KVUU, KKLI, KKCS, KBZE AND KXRM-TV. She most recently was employed by Clear Channel Communications. Kathy was a graduate of Colorado State University.

Kathy will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched, in particular her parents Ed and Kathleen, brother Bernie, nieces Christina and Katy, nephew Ed, cousins Nancy and Diane, and her dearest friends Deborah and Diana and her cat Punkin.

JACK L. BOHN

Jack was born to John L. Bohn and Louise H. (Richmond) Bohn on April 20, 1925. He died July 25, 2003 due to multiple organ failure.

Jack entered the Army Air Corps in 1943 at the age of 18. He became a Tail Gunner on a B-17 and completed 35 missions over Nazi Germany before he was 20 years old.

Jack loved to hunt and fish, especially High Lake fishing. He hiked into many remote lakes with his brother and others fishing buddies.

Jack worked in heavy equipment and later as a surveyor.

He is survived by a brother, Jim of Colorado Springs and numerous cousins. A grave-side service will be held Thursday, at 2:00 p.m., at Fairview Cemetery.

DORIS LOUISE LUDWIG

Doris Louise Ludwig, 87, passed away peacefully July 25, 2003 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.

Born May 22, 1916 in Lynn, MA, she and her husband Wilbert moved to Colorado Springs in 1950. A registered nurse, Doris worked in area hospitals until her retirement.

Doris was preceded in death by her oldest son, Richard. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Wilbert; a son, Robert and Cynthia Ludwig of Huntsville, AL; a daughter-in-law, Beth Martin of Houston, TX; a grand daughter, Ashley White of Huntsville, AL; three grandsons, Craig and Christie Ludwig of Gilbert, AZ, Chad Ludwig of Huntsville, AL, and Cameron Ludwig of Scottsdale, AZ; and four great- grandsons Christian, Caleb and Caydin White of Huntsville, AL; and Chase Ludwig of Gilbert, AZ.

MICHAEL JOSEPH POCHE

Michael Joseph Poche, age 42, of Mena passed away Friday, July 25, 2003, in his home.

He was born May 14, 1961, in Ludwidsburg, Germany, to Merlin Poche and Yvette Boisraud Poche. He was united in marriage to Lillian Beckwith. Mr. Poche served in the United States Air Force during the Grenada Invasion. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and was of the Baptist faith.
