NOAH WILEY EWTON
Noah Wiley Ewton, Jr., age 72, a long time resident of Monument, CO, passed away on September 5, 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myradell (Higgs) Ewton. Mr. Ewton was born in Hereford, TX, on August 8, 1931. He moved to the Monument area in 1952 where he operated a cattle ranch. He married Myradell Higgs on September 1, 1954. Mr. Ewton retired from ranching in 1990 and remained in the Monument area until his death. He is survived by his children, Steve Ewton, Mark Ewton, Karen Sibell, Kathy Brown, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on September 10, 2003 at 1:00 p.m., at Swan-Law in Colorado Springs.

CHONG SUN YAGER
Chong Sun Yager, 40, of Colorado Springs, passed away September 4, 2003.
She was born October 5, 1962 in Korea, to Pyong Sop Yi and Chong Im Kim. She grew up and attended school in Korea. Chong married Paul A. Yager in Seoul, Korea on September 25, 1981. The couple celebrated nearly 22 years of marriage.
Chong is survived by her husband, Paul; one son, Justin; one daughter, Cristina; two brothers and one sister; her faithful dachshund, Sam. Preceding her in death was one brother.
Chong was an avid gardener, decorator, a loving mother and wife. She found her greatest pleasure caring for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2003 at 10:00 a.m., at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Burial to follow the services at Evergreen Cemetery.
GREGORY MILES MICHAEL
Gregory Miles Michael, 30, of Colorado Springs passed away from cancer on Friday, September 5, 2003. Beloved husband of Bridget Michael; loving father of Montgomary, Monica, and Madalyn; son of John Michael of Milwaukee, WI, and Joanne Huber of Berlin, WI; brother of Barb Michael, Becky Jungwirth; and Wayne Michael; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of all Nations located at the intersection of Dublin and Powers.

GRACE A. SLAGLE
Grace A. Slagle, 93, of Colorado Springs, passed from this life to be with the Lord on September 7, 2003. She was a homemaker. Her memorial service will be on Thursday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou.
Mrs. Slagle was born on June 18, 1910, in Sharonville, Ohio, to William and Clara (Miller) Yeager. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1949 with her husband, Albert W. Slagle for 52 years until his death in 1986. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs for over 54 years. She and Albert were Presidents of the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class at the church and involved in many other activities there. She played the violin and played duets with her Mother at the piano. She loved music, also ballroom and square dancing. She was an avid bridge player until the time of her death, as well as a member of the Minerva Book Club for over 20 years, assuming the Presidency for four years from 1996-2000.
Mrs. Slagle is survived by her sister, Dorothy Birt, her children, Robert W. Slagle, Ann Slagle Brosh (Kent), Joan Slagle Ward (Frank), her grandchildren, Donny Ward (Cassie), Kendy Brosh Smith (Kirk), Kari Ward Kolmetz (Stephen), Jeffrey Brosh; and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Pikes Peak Hospice or Silver Key Senior Services.
JOYCE A. HORN
Horn, age 60, of Colorado Springs died Saturday, September 6th, at Penrose Main Hospital. Mrs. Horn was born December 28, 1943 in Osceola, NE, daughter of Martin and Gladys Roberts. She was a Nursing Claims Coordinator for Catholic Health Initiatives in Colorado Springs. She retired as Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve.
Survived by husband Chris; son Jeffrey; daughter Christi; and two brothers, Joseph Roberts of David City, NE, and Charles Roberts of Osceola, NE.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 8:00 p.m., at Evergreen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 10, a.m., at Church of St. Michael the Archangel 7400 Tudor Rd, Colorado Springs.
HAROLD W. SPENCE
Harold W. Spence, born March 26, 1927 in Wevaco, WV, died peacefully on Sept. 7, 2003. Mr. Spence was born to Allie and Lilly Mae Spence in the coal mining region of West Virginia. He enlisted in the Army to serve in WWII, and went on to proudly serve his country including tours in the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. A highly decorated soldier, he was most proud of his Combat Infantryman Badge. After over 23 years of service, Mr. Spence retired in 1971 and has resided in Colorado Springs since.
