Velligan - Crozier

Gary and Sue Crozier of Colorado Springs and Calhan are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Kevin, to Laura Michelle Velligan, daughter of Le Scolari of Campbell, CA, and Fred Velligan of Reno, NV.

Laura is an executive assistant at Worldview Technology Partners in Palo Alto. Kevin is a software engineer at Teja Technologies in San Jose. Both reside in Campbell, California. A May 4, 2004 wedding in Maui, HI, is planned.

Savelyev - McQuitty

Marina Victoria Savelyev, Phd., of Colorado Springs, and Jack H. McQuitty Jr., J.D., LL.M, of Colorado Springs, proudly announce their engagement and plans for marriage.

Marina is the owner and President of MVS International, Inc., an investment facilitator/liason focusing in Eastern European transactions.

Jack is a tax/estate planning attorney and partner with the law firm of Stinar, Zendejas, McQuitty & Keyser, LLC.

The couple plan to be married on December 6, 2003 at the Kissing Camels Club.

Ripley - Alm

Gail Tarvin and Gary Ripley are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelly Ripley, to D.J. Alm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Alm.

Shelly is a 1988 graduate of Palmer High School, and also attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Shelly is currently employed by Allied Insurance in Denver. D.J. is a 1986 graduate of Natrona County High School of Casper, WY, and is currently employed by Rhoads Construction in Fort Collins.

The couple currently reside in Berthoud, Colorado, and are planning a July 2004 wedding.

White - Meeks

Susan Ann White and Paul Allen Meeks were married August 30 at the Woodmen Valley Stone Chapel. Susan is the daughter of Maynard and Doris White of Colorado Springs. Paul is the son of Clay Meeks of Aurora, Colorado, and Pat Anderson of Henderson, Nevada.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Mark Skalberg. Marie Holm stood as matron of honor for the bride, and Kendal and Peyton Nussbaum were flower girls. Frank Fraizer was the best man for the groom, and Nolan Nussbaum was ring bearer.

The couple celebrated with family and friends at a reception at the Sunbird Restaurant. Afterward, they honeymooned in the Carribean.

Mallette - Sundar

Danielle Devi Sundar and Casey Paul Mallette were united in marriage on September 21, 2003, at Foothills Chapel in Golden, CO. A dinner reception followed at the Robin's Nest in Golden.

Danielle is the daughter of Linda and Robert Sundar of Colorado Springs. Casey is the son of Ron Mallette of Colorado Springs, and Kim Baltazar of Olney Springs.

The couple enjoyed a Carribean cruise for their honeymoon, and now reside in Golden.

LAHEY

50th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lahey of Colorado Springs, CO, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July, 19th with their family and friends at a Mass and Dinner at the Benet Hill Center.

They were married at St. Benedict's Church in Atchison, KS, on July 18, 1953. They are the parents of nine children - Jim Jr., Maribeth Netherton, Michael, Patrick, Maureen Scheuer, William, Cathleen Berve, Colleen Garland and Edward. They have 16 grandchildren.

Jim worked as a budget analyst for NORAD for 25 years. Catherine is retired from the El Paso County Public Trustee's Office.

PIAZZA

40th Wedding Anniversary

There once was a young fellow named Fred, Who hoped to Miss Betty he'd wed, But their ages weren't right, So he fibbed ever so slight, And now, "Happy 40th Anniversary" their kids said.

Fred Piazza and Betty (George) celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. The couple was married October 19, 1963, at St. Joseph's Church in Mountain View, CA.

The couple's children are Lori Gigantelli and husband Jim of Omaha, NE; Michael Piazza and wife Kristi of Littleton, CO. They have six grandchildren: Marissa, William and Emery of Omaha, and Kady, Maggie and Molly of Littleton.

McALEXANDER

60th Wedding Anniversary

The family of Charles and Bonnie McAlexander would like to wish them a Happy 60th Anniversary.

PHILLIPS

50th Wedding Anniversary

Doug and Shirley Phillips celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. They were married October 10, 1953 in Denver. They have four sons, five grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

The celebration also included a Reception for family and friends at The Radisson Inn.
