High school games to be covered by network

Altitude Sports and Entertainment and the Colorado High School Activities Association have reached a multiyear deal to televise high school events. The agreement includes state championships in football and girls' basketball.
Under the agreement, Altitude will televise up to six CHSAA sporting events each academic year, including the Class 4A state football championship game and the girls' 5A and 4A state basketball championship games. Altitude will also televise other major events.
The agreement also gives Altitude the ability to televise highlight specials focusing on the top teams and players throughout the state.

"This is the type of grassroots programming that appeals to everyone and more of the type of regional events we said we would look to televise," said Shelly Harper, senior vice president of programming for Altitude.
Altitude will be available to DISH Network subscribers in the 10- state area of Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, Nevada and New Mexico.
All-State soccer
The Colorado High School Soccer Coaches Association All-State Games are tonight at Broomfield High School Stadium.
The girls match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., with the boys following at 7.
Each team has 16 players. Teams consist of players from grades 9- 12 through the last academic school year.
Players representing schools in the Colorado Springs area are: (girls) Bree Baker (Caon City, Sr.), Julie Rodgers (Caon City, Sr.), Meg Elliott (Fountain Valley, Sr.), Laine Hubbard (Lewis-Palmer (Jr.), Kim Lewis (Cheyenne Mountain, Sr.), Emily Maynard (Manitou Springs, So.) and Katie Malick (Liberty, Jr.). (Boys) Nate Bos (Lewis- Palmer, Sr.), Ryan Beatty (Lewis-Palmer, Sr.), Mason Bragg (Liberty, Jr.), Kolt Callaway (Colorado Springs Christian, Sr.), Chris Salvaggione (Lewis-Palmer, Jr.) and Marcus Reynolds (Liberty, Sr.).
Signings
Evangelical Christian Academy 2004 graduates Brian Boggs and David Fenton have signed to play basketball for NAIA Sterling College in Sterling, Kan.
Boggs was a point guard and Fenton a power forward for ECA's 2A state basketball championship team.
John Bishop, a 2004 Mesa Ridge graduate, has signed to play baseball for Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan.
Bishop was a center fielder at Mesa Ridge and recently played on a team that competed in Puerto Rico.
Coach honor Each year the NFL selects a high school coach from each state to serve as a delegate at the Youth Summit and this year Terry Henderson, coach at Ellicott High School for the past 15 years, has been selected as the Colorado delegate. He will attend in Canton, Ohio, from Aug. 6-8.
