More magazine lets you try out hairstyles online

Ever wonder what you'd look like in one of those hairstyles that the stars pay big bucks for? Now you can try a bunch of them without harming a single hair on your own head.

More Magazine's Web site (www.more.com) features a "Try-a- Hairstyle" feature: Just upload your digital photo and apply tresses that belong to stars such as Oprah, Mary Steenburgen, Halle Berry, Diane Keaton and a bevy of others.

As you play stylist, you can change the color to suit your mood -- from black to blue to pink to blonde -- with a click of the mouse.

If the hairstyle doesn't quite fit right on your picture, use buttons below the image to reduce or enlarge it to fit your face, rotate it on your head or flip it.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of uploading an image of yourself, have fun putting various tresses and hair shades on the models provided.

There's also a Hair Quiz that will recommend a style for you.

If you're truly enchanted with one of the looks, print it out and take it to your stylist. If you dislike them all, just turn off the computer and gloat about all the bad hair days you avoided.

The service is free, but you must register as a member.
