A field loaded with some of golf's more recognizable names added a player who needs only a nickname -- the Shark.
Greg Norman, a two-time British Open champion and former No. 1 player in the world, committed Saturday to play in next month's U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor. Norman joins a field that likely will include Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Ben Crenshaw and Bernhard Langer.
Drawing more attention recently for his engagement to tennis great Chris Evert than his golf game, Norman said he plans to play the British Open and Senior British Open before the July 31-Aug. 3 major championship in Colorado Springs.
