ENGLEWOOD - The Denver Broncos know there's a possibility that receiver Brandon Marshall could be suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as soon as this week, but they're going about business as normal. The Broncos hope Marshall isn't suspended for some off- field incidents. Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said he has not been given any indication when the ruling might come down, although he thought it might be within a week.
Marshall continues to work with the starters, and he caught a 70- yard touchdown in an 11-on-11 drill Monday. Shanahan said he doesn't anticipate changing anything.
"We'll wait and see," Shanahan said. "He's ready to go, he's ready to practice, and regardless of whatever happens he's going to be out there practicing."

Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams is back at weakside linebacker, a spot he hasn't played exclusively since his rookie year. He had arguably his best NFL season that year, and showed why he's a natural fit at the position when he stopped running back Andre Hall cold on a third-down pitchout to his side. "I think it's a great move," said Williams, who played middle linebacker last year.

Rookie offensive tackle Ryan Clady has held his own in one-on- one drills against end Elvis Dumervil, but he came up empty on one play Monday. Literally. Dumervil lined up wide and shot past Clady, who didn't get a piece of Dumervil as he went by.

Matt Prater, kicker: Prater had eight field goal attempts Monday, the second time the Broncos have had a live field goal drill. He missed the first wide right from 37 yards but made the last seven.
Michael Pittman, running back: Pittman lined up a few times at fullback during a running drill. Pittman could play fullback in a pinch.
Jamie Winborn, linebacker: Winborn got some snaps with the first- team defense because D.J. Williams was delayed getting out to practice. Winborn was one of Denver's best special-teams players last year and played well when he started the last two games at linebacker.
