U.S. Dept. of Justice to give Atty. General's Award to La.

The U.S. Department of Justice will give the Attorney General's Award to prosecution team members who obtained convictions of former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards, and his son, Stephen Edwards, as well as Andrew Martin, Cecil Brown, and Bobby Johnson. Recipients include lead counsel Jim Letten, U.S.
attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and assistant U.S. attorneys Fred P. Harper Jr., Michael Magner, Peter G. Strasser, Todd Greenberg and Stephen Higginson. The team will receive the John Marshal Award for excellence in participation in litigation for the three-year investigation, which culminated in a four-month trial. Karen P. Dixon, a paralegal in the U.S. Attorney's office and former secretary to Letten, and Ashley Rohde, a secretary, will also receive an award for excellence in legal support.
