Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal complex receives first vessel

The $101 million Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal complex received its first vessel, the Lykes Motivator, on Jan. 9. The terminal will be operated jointly by Ceres Gulf and P&O Ports of Louisiana, operators that have finalized 24-year terminal leases with the Board of Commissioners. Ceres and P&O are transferring container operations from terminals they previously operated at France Road on the Industrial Canal.
