Former Louisiana gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal unleashed some self-deprecating humor Jan. 30 at the 19th annual luncheon for Loyola University New Orleans business alumni.
Jindal, the keynote speaker at the event in the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, told recent graduates of Loyola's business school to take time for a silent retreat as an important step in personal and career development.
Then Jindal, who lost to Kathleen Babineaux Blanco in the Nov. 15 gubernatorial runoff, said: That's enough professional advice from me; I'm still unemployed.
Jindal recently announced he will run for the 1st Congressional District seat held by David Vitter, R-Metairie. Vitter will run for the Senate seat held by Sen. John Breaux, D-Crowley, who is not seeking re-election.
