Las Vegas-based Boyd Gaming Corp. to merge with Las Vegas-based Coast

Las Vegas-based Boyd Gaming Corp. entered into a merger agreement with Las Vegas-based Coast Casinos Inc. Coast will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Boyd Gaming and operate as a separate unit run by Coast management. Coast shareholders will receive approximately $495 million in cash, and Boyd will issue approximately 19.4 million shares to Coast shareholders.
Boyd Gaming owns and operates the Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner.
