The Rev. Kevin Wildes was named the 16th president of Loyola University New Orleans almost seven months after the Rev. Bernard Knoth resigned. Wildes, 49, will replace the Rev. William J. Byron, who served as interim president since Knoth's resignation Oct. 7. Wildes is the associate dean of Georgetown College at Georgetown University, and an associate philosophy professor.
