Magnolia Marketing Co. changes name to Republic Beverage Co.

Magnolia Marketing Co., one of the country's largest and oldest wine and spirit wholesalers, is changing its name to Republic Beverage Co.
The Goldring family, owners of Magnolia, formed a partnership in 1996 with the Block families to create Republic Beverage Co. in Texas, serving the Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, west Texas and Oklahoma markets.
The Texas distribution will be based in San Antonio. Non-Texas distribution will be based in New Orleans.
Magnolia was founded in 1898 in Pensacola, Fla.
